Silver Granular Catalyst

Silver granular catalysts are used in formaldehyde plants on top of the wire mesh so as to provide a high surface area for the methanol deformation to take place.

Heterogeneous processes involving silver catalysis include NOx reduction and catalytic oxidation of CO to CO2. Silver(I) salts can be used in several silver-catalyzed nucleophilic addition reactions and organic transformations. The high oxidation potentials associated with Ag ions allows silver catalysis, complexes, and ligands to enjoy significant potential in chemical synthesis.

We have over the years developed granules which have high porosity, leading to a very high surface area and a low bulk density. This means that the material consumption and investment in silver is reduced for our customer and the result is still superior to the previous years.

After the refining and granules production, the catalyst is sieved into a wide spectrum of fractions and delivered to our customers.
